Last Tuesday I flew up to San Francisco to get started on the color work. Cicely had the idea to do each feather a different shade of turquoise to give it more of the stained glass effect. She worked on it for about two and a half hours before I had to jump back on the BART to the airport. I really like the way it turned out. It's almost done peeling. As soon as it is, I'll take and post a photo.
She plans to be is West Hollywood at a friend's shop in a few months, so I'll schedule an appointment to see her then. I can't afford to keep going to San Franciso, eager as I am to see it completed. I am really pleased with how it looks. Even Corey is really starting to like it. Good art can overcome stereotypes.
